Manhattan coworking space: The search is on!

We’ve been working hard to find the awesomest possible space for New Work City for the last several months. We’ve fallen in love with four spaces now, only to see circumstances make each one an impossibility.

Most painful was our most recent loss, a duplex space on 28th Street. With that space behind us, we’re heading back to the books— but we want you to help us out.

Below is a breakdown of what we’re looking for. Use whatever is at your disposal, whether word of mouth, or Craigslist, or whatever you like, to find some eligible spaces. Post comments here or email tony [at] nwcny [dot com] and we’ll investigate and post findings here!

Periodically we’ll make trips out to check out the spaces, and we want you to join us. We’ll bring cameras along the way so we can share with everyone else.

Here’s what we need:

Square footage: 2,500 - 3,500

Cost per square foot: $39 or less (asking price). We’ll need to be able to negotiate this down to $35 or less.

Location: Manhattan, with easy access to major subway lines. Flatiron District, Union Square, and Midtown areas preferred.

Type of space: We’re trying to hit a sweet spot between workplace and comfortable creative environment. It must be as open as possible. One or two separated rooms are OK, but the layout of the space should naturally accomodate a shared community space. High ceilings are a big plus. (When searching online, these sort of things are frequently hard to ascertain— but contacting the poster with questions helps).

Ready set go! Let’s make this happen! Stay tuned here for updates on our search.

Cheers,

Tony & the NWC team
